Peter Kussow stands out as Wisconsin’s top MLB Draft prospect this year, and scouts are taking notice. On Thursday, a contingent of evaluators gathered to watch the Arrowhead High School right-hander make his final regular-season start of the spring.
Kussow, a projectable 6-foot-5, 215-pound righty, features a smooth, low-effort delivery from a three-quarters arm slot. He sat in the low 90s and touched 95 mph with his fastball while mixing in a sharp curveball and an effective changeup.
Scouts rave about his pitchability, highlighted by his ability to sequence pitches, spin a quality breaking ball and demonstrate advanced command for his age. His physical upside and poise on the mound only add to the excitement surrounding his potential.
Kussow delivered again on Thursday, tossing four no-hit innings with seven strikeouts and one walk. He threw 53 pitches, 35 of them for strikes.
Throughout the spring, Kussow has consistently sat 93–96 mph and touched 97, including a dominant no-hitter earlier in the season.
