2016 MLB Draft: Mock Draft 1.0

9. Detroit Tigers: Jordan Sheffield, RHP, Vanderbilt

Detroit loves power arms and is hoping Pint slides all the way to its pick at No. 9. But if he doesn’t, the Tigers could turn in numerous directions, and expect them to focus in on another power arm if Hudson and Pint are both off the board.

A 6-foot-0, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, Sheffield is one of the top college arms in the 2016 draft class and features a solid three-pitch mix, including a high-90s fastball.
