Cam Cannarella poised for breakout season at Clemson

Cam Cannarella consistently excelled during his first two years at Clemson, establishing himself as one of the premier players in college baseball as he enters his junior season.

Scouts are highly impressed with his well-rounded skill set and potential. They view him as a top prospect for the 2025 MLB Draft, with some even considering him a potential first overall pick. Cannarella’s combination of speed, defensive prowess and hitting ability makes him a standout talent with a bright future in professional baseball.

Cannarella is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound center fielder boasts five-tool potential. The left-handed hitter makes consistent, hard contact and uses all parts of the field. He occasionally shows some power, but his game is built around hitting line drives in the gaps and making a difference with his speed on the bases. Defensively, Cannarella has above-average speed and strong instincts in center field. He has the tools to remain in center field long-term.

Cannarella will play a key role in Clemson’s success this season. Learn more about his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery, development in college, expectations for the 2025 season and overall experiences at Clemson here:
